Just a quick note to let you all know the Rea rd. extension project is funded and will be moving forward. Efforts to accelerate the widening of Providence road through the Weddington Town Council will continue however, no change in schedule has been approved at this time. Our community will have more opportunity to engage and voice support for this in the future. Will communicate as we have more information.

The Providence Acres Spring Picnic is set for Sunday May, 3rd @1:30pm. It will take place at the back of the circle(same place as October 2014). The board will be reaching out over the next month or so to gauge attendance. Look forward to seeing you.

PAHOA Board

On Tuesday night Union County got some snow! Providence Acres total snowfall was about 1 inch but it made for some very excited kids! Especially since school was canceled on Wednesday and Thursday. Many people decided to stay in and enjoy the day. Sadly by 3 o’clock most of the snow was gone and the roads were fine. Here are a couple of shots our first real snow of 2014!

We had a great time at this years picnic. Great food, great neighbors and perfect weather. Thanks to all who helped and took the time to come out.

Just a reminder that our annual Fall HOA meeting/picnic is scheduled for Sunday October 6th at 1:30pm. The picnic will be in the back street of Cottonfield Circle.

Your HOA will be providing delicious BBQ and beverages and paper products. The only thing you need to do is bring a side dish or desert to share and a chair to enjoy some fellowship with your neighbors. There will a drawing for a $25 Lowes Gift Card!

The fall meeting is important to us as a neighborhood because our HOA will be reporting on the events and financial status for the past year. As well as providing an excellent chance to meet and chat with your neighbors. We are all very busy and wave as we pass each other on the way to and from work. The picnic provides a great opportunity to sit down with your neighbors and catch up.

Ballots for the 2014 HOA board were sent out on 9/20/13.  Please take a minute to fill them out and remember one vote per plot/household. You may turn them in at 609 Cottonfield (front porch) or bring your completed ballot to the meeting/picnic.

THE BUNCO GIRLS

The Bunco Group, made up of mainly ladies from Cottonfield Circle, met for a picnic dinner in June before their summer break.  Everyone contributed a dish to share, wine and dessert.  Gayle Kallenback has been hosting our June meeting on her patio for the past two years.  She goes out of her way to make it very nice with pretty table coverings and fresh flowers on each table.  In attendance from left to right is, Deanne Kallenback, Jo Caponigro, Mary Fout, Susan Osmolski, Gayle Kallenback, Crystal Flint, Shirley Jacobs and Ginny Price.  Absent was Michelle Beamer.  If anyone is interested in being a sub for the group, please let Gayle Kallenback know at:  swan22gk@aol.com     They will begin to meet again in September on the first Tuesday of every month.
