Hi folks,
In case you didn’t know, Providence Acres is in the queue for accessing Natural Gas.
Basic Summary: The deal they were trying to get done was this. If PNG could determine it would be a good return on investment, they would install a gas line throughout the neighborhood. Also they would install the line from the street, to your home including the meter at no cost. The cost you would incur would be from the meter to your device (range, gas logs, water heater, etc…) Based on the response they received, it was determined that this would be a good deal PNG.
Right now, they are working with NCDOT to work out the details to bring the gas line across Providence Rd/HWY 16 into our neighborhood. The time frame is likely in February or March of 2016. If you signed up initially for this package you should know your property. Where is your well or septic system? Will they damage anything bringing the line to your home? It’s each homeowners responsibility to find out what is in your front yard and what is the best path for PNG to install the gas line. If you signed up for this installation please know that PNG will not be responsible for damage if you don’t let them know about obstacles on or in your property.
If you have any questions regarding this procedure, below is our contact. Phyllis is a very knowledgeable person and she will be glad to answer any of your questions.
Try her mobile number first so she knows who is calling and can respond appropriately.
FYI…this deal isn’t for everyone. You need to understand the additional costs that will be included on your monthly expenses. However, if you are currently using Propane, it would be a good idea to reach out to PNG and see if this installation procedure would be wise for your household.
See below for PNG’s contact.
