Mayor Bill Deter met with several of Providence Acres residents to discuss the recent tree harvesting operation that included 3 plots within our subdivision and an additional 20± acres behind our subdivision off Crane Rd. The concerns that were discussed were many but included:

  1. Minor damages to various properties by the log trucks
  2. Drainage issues that have popped up
  3. The building of a road into the logging site
  4. Knocking down a berm
  5. Damage to Cottonfield Circle road surface caused by the huge fully loaded logging trucks
  6. The road view aesthetics of the property with stumps, a road and slash tossed everywhere

PAHOA was not contacted during this process by the plot owner, state agencies or county agencies. It was your neighbors and the PAHOA who reached out to discover what was going on. Currently the HOA has not seen the Forestry Plan that was developed for this land. As a matter of fact, the Mayor has not even seen it.

This was an information gathering meeting. Our Mayor was very open and listened to all who had something to say regarding this situation. Hopefully the Mayor and his staff will be able to get some solid answers as to what the master plan is for this property, how it will affect our neighborhood and address the concerns we have about the damage that has been done.

We will be updating the website as new developments occur on this situation.
